The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, met today in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E. Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, and discussed with him the advancement of bilateral relations, the consolidation of joint cooperation, and the security and political situations in the region.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed strengthening the bonds of historical relations between their nationsand reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation in all fields for mutual benefit and development while addressing several issues of common interest and highlighting the importance of fostering partnerships to achieve shared goals.

The discussions covered the latest regional and international developments, emphasizing the need for African-led approaches to address conflicts and challenges across the continent with a strong focus on using African perspectives to resolve complex political and security issues.
